About Rosie Speech.
Hi! I am Amber Schafer, Founder of Rosie Speech. I am a licensed and board certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). I live in Conshohocken, PA with my husband and two sons. I created Rosie Speech in memory of my daughter, Rosie. I was inspired to live my life fiercely honoring Rosie every day while continuing my passion to help children with their speech and language needs. It is my mission to help children and families navigate communication barriers and thrive across all of life's settings. I fully embody the "whole child" approach when creating individualized plans for my clients.

I work with the pediatric population and have had the pleasure of knowing children with many different backgrounds. I work with children to improve their articulation, phonology, expressive language, receptive language, fluency, and social pragmatic skills. I have experience working with children who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. One of the exciting parts of having my own private practice is that I get to collaborate with parents and caregivers. This opportunity is so important for generalizing learned skills in our sessions. Thank you for reading a little bit about me. I look forward to getting to know you and your child!

Working with children is a new adventure every day! When I decided to become an SLP, I knew I wanted to work with children throughout my career. I live in Conshohocken with my husband, our three children, and our energetic Australian Shepherd. I truly
appreciate the tight-knit community and small-town charm that Conshy offers, and I’m so grateful to be
raising my family here while also having the opportunity to serve yours. In my free time, you’ll find me hiking the trails at Wissahickon, unwinding with my family by our favorite lake in northeastern Pennsylvania, or attending a local fitness class.

After the birth of my oldest son in 2020, who received early intervention OT services, I knew I wanted to shift
my focus to pediatrics. The impact those services had on his life was profound, and I felt a deep calling to
help other children and families experience that same positive transformation during such a critical time in
their lives. Working with children has reignited my own sense of creativity. I thrive on developing fun,
innovative ways to support learning and skill development. I’m passionate about celebrating every
functional gain, no matter how big or small!

From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the power of communication and its ability to connect people. This curiosity, coupled with my deep desire to make a positive impact, led me to pursue a career in speech-language pathology. I am especially passionate about working with children because I believe early intervention can be life-changing, setting the foundation for strong communication skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Helping children overcome challenges and seeing their progress is incredibly rewarding, and it’s this sense of purpose that drives my dedication to the field.
